Jo Allison has been the Chief Organizing Officer (COO) of the World Game Protection Conference since 2005. A coal miner’s daughter from Hazard, Kentucky, Jo knew from an early age how important education was. She excelled in school, receiving an AA in political science and communications before continuing her studies at the University of Kentucky. While at UK her life took an unexpected turn when she met and fell for an Aussie vagabond with killer dance moves. Not long after, her new husband broke into the casino business as a surveillance operator thus sealing her fate as a casino wife. Jo has had various jobs over the years with a common thread of helping people. In 2005 she left her substitute teaching job to take up the newly created position of COO for the newly created World Game Protection Conference. For 16 years she has combined her love of education with her love for making people happy to become the WGPC’s “hostess with the mostest.”
