Csaba Csoma began his casino career in 1997 at Grand Casino Budapest as a Dealer and Croupier before ​moving into surveillance in 2001. Starting as a trainee surveillance operator, he advanced through the ranks, eventually managing surveillance operations on cruise ships based out of Hong Kong and Singapore for Star Cruises. In 2008, Csaba returned to land-based casinos in Switzerland and now serves as Head of Security and Surveillance at Swiss Casinos Zürich.

Excellence in Surveillance
A new award will be presented this year to a casino for Excellence in Surveillance. The inaugural award will be presented to Swiss Casinos Zürich for their detection, handling and subsequent take down of 11 baccarat scammers in 2024. During the presentation Csaba Csoma from Swiss Casinos will show what happened and tell how the Surveillance team successfully apprehended the criminals in what has been called one of largest scams in Switzerland’s casino history.
