Gaming Hall of Famer

Debra Nutton is a trail blazing Casino Executive, Everi Holdings Board Member, Gaming Consultant and Executive Coach. Debi began her gaming career in 1980 as one of the few female Dice Dealers on the Las Vegas Strip. She joined the opening team of The Mirage in 1989 as a dice pit manager, the only female to be offered that role on the opening team. Debi went on to work for MGM/Mirage for twenty-four years, reaching the role of Senior VP of Casino Operations and Marketing for MGM and Bellagio. She left her role at MGM Resorts to join Wynn Resorts in 2013 as the Executive Vice President of Casino Operations. In 2020, Debi launched her coaching and consulting business, her practice is focused on the Gaming Industry. In April of 2023, she was asked to join the Board of Directors for Everi Holdings, a leader in the Gaming and FinTech space.

Debi is a graduate of the UC Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute. In addition to her Coaching Certification, she also holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Bellevue University, Nebraska, and an associate degree in nursing from UNLV. Debi is a proud graduate of Leadership Las Vegas class of 2010. Debi was asked to join the original board of Global Gaming Women by Judy Patterson, then SVP of the AGA. In 2007, she was named a “Woman of Distinction” by the National Association of Women Business Owners for her work in the gaming and hospitality. In 2009, she was honored with the Casino Enterprise Management Great Women of Gaming Proven Leader Award. Debi’s passion and meaningful contributions were honored by Global Gaming Women with the 2018 Great Women of Gaming Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2024, she received the ultimate honor and was inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame by the American Gaming Association.

The Keys to Leading a Winning Casino Team

Debra Nutton started her casino career as one of the first female craps dealers on the Las Vegas Strip and ended it as the Executive Vice President for Wynn Las Vegas. In 2024 she was inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame honoring leaders and legends of the industry. In this presentation Debi talks about the keys to leadership and creating a casino culture of happy, loyal employees who get more done. She believes true change happens when leaders are actively involved, engaged and inspired.
