Renita is the founder, President and CEO of SECOND DERIVATIVE, LLC, a Native American woman-owned Advisory Practice that provides a broad complement of Information Technology & Cybersecurity services. An enrolled member of the great Seneca Nation and proud matriarch within her Hawk Clan, she has excelled as both a Chief Information Officer (CIO) and a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). One of the first Native American women to become a CIO and a CISO, she is regarded as a pioneer in her field and widely known for building information security programs and teams from the ground up.

Renita holds a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree and several Information Security credentials including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – the world’s most coveted cybersecurity certification. Best known for building cybersecurity from the ground up, Renita brings a wealth of both strategic, and tactical in-the-thick-of-it experience addressing cybersecurity concerns. She stands as a leading expert on the evolving threat landscape, particularly for Tribal entities, and is committed to her role as a mentor for the next generation of “Cyber Warriors.”
