Thomas Maier is an Advanced Compliance Auditor for the Wisconsin Division of Gaming. Tom conducts compliance audits of all Class III Tribal gaming facilities in the state of Wisconsin. Prior to starting with the Division of Gaming, he worked in both Tribal and Commercial Gaming including Ho-Chunk Nation, MGM Resorts International, Station Casinos, Players Island Casino, President Casino St. Louis, and the Forest County Potawatomi Gaming Commission. With over 25 years of gaming experience, his experience in gaming extends to the states of Missouri, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin. During that time, Tom held various positions including Director of Surveillance, Surveillance Supervisor, Surveillance Trainer, Surveillance Operator, Table Games Dealer, Security Officer, and Training and Development Specialist. He is an Army Veteran and holds a degree in police science from Madison College. He also received a Certificate of Professional Development in Gaming Management from the University of Nevada, Reno.

The Briefing Room is a new moderated round table session featuring representatives from gaming enforcement divisions across various jurisdictions. Each participant will be asked to give a short 15-minute presentation on gaming crime prosecutions, trends in their jurisdictions and general BOLO information.
